Great quality and good for all ages, but misleading advertisement
I originally was seeking replacement parts for my Catit water fountain but saw this on sale and purchased the castle along with the rocket and tunnel to connect together. The castle structure has 2 levels with peek holes large enough to jump through and a base with a sandbag ring and removable cushion to keep it upright. It’s held up by tent poles and is designed to be really sturdy in both structure and fabric. Set up was quick and easy if not self explanatory. While my kitten can topple it over by jumping from the side like a maniac, it pops right back up thanks to the base. The castle draw bridge can be closed like a door and the strings can be removed with Velcro (good if your cat likes to eat string). It’s fairly short, but both of my cats can sit in both levels comfortably with some wiggle room which is convenient as I was looking for something not too big. I love that it can be taken back down and stored away in a bag for both storage and travel (I live where we have hurricanes so this is excellent for evacuation or general travel!). My problem however lies with the pictures online and on the box indicating that it can be attached to the tunnel (separate purchase). There appears to only be 2 loops to connect the castle side entrance to the tunnel - one on the left and right, but none above or below the hole, so the tunnel isn’t firmly connected to the castle. The box and website has a picture indicating how the tunnel would connect via a loop and bar and shows one above the door - but in person this top loop is NOT there, nor is there one on the bottom. It’s strange as the separate rocket structure DOES have 4 loops to connect to the 4 bars on the tunnel, but the castle does not, and both are advertised to be able to connect to the tunnel with the same picture. Moreover, the tunnel only has one side with bars, so if you were to try to connect all 3, you’d still have one structure that was loop-to-loop and didn’t have bars. I’m not sure if this is a defect or an oversight, but it’s disappointing nonetheless. In hindsight, images of the castle itself don’t seem to have a top and bottom loop on the side entrance… the ‘connection’ image is identical to that seen on the rocket structure’s advertisement and is probably a reused image from the that. It’s really misleading as you’d imagine that if they show a picture of it connecting, that you’d assume it connects as literally advertised. I managed to tie the loops of the tunnel and castle together with some string, maybe later I’ll try and sew my own top and bottom loops for better stability. Overall while it’s cute and sturdy, it’s a huge disappointment as the connectability was the main motivation for me purchasing more than one product.
