Works great!
We have used this grill for years now and it still works great. No more propane tanks. For my many years as a firefighter, I've seen too many tanks in garage fires. Grate takes a little more effort to clean.

BE WEARY
Was suppossed to come with a free cover. Never received it and they will not give it to me. This grill is not for real grillers. First time owning an electric and it stinks. Food comes out dry and no grill taste. It's like using my oven outside. Very dissappointed.

Ok grill
It was easy to put together. The main issue with this grill is it definitely drops the temperature by 200 degrees the minute you open the lid. I have to leave it on number 5. It takes 20-25 minutes to get it to 550 degrees. It is easy to clean. It does cook the food evenly.

Structural components excellent, Electric not good
It worked excellently for 15 months. Then the grill kept tripping the GFI outlet and wouldn't get hot.

How to use this this product
I purchased this product about a year ago after moving to a condo that did not allow gas/flame grills. I have been using an outdoor grill for almost 20 years.degrees but the temp drops dramatically when the top is opened and it is hard to get it back to over 350 degrees. I hated this product when I first used it. (FYI-It is pretty easy to set up). It is NOT like a regular high end gas grill. I am still trying to figure out what/how the infrared technology works....Also, how to maintain a high temperature. I have been able to preheat to 550 This product cooks grilled vegetables beautifully. Skewered shrimp or scallops are super easy. Grilling meat has been trickier. I have found that any burger type (including boneless chicken breast or turkey burger) must be only 1/4 inch thick. Otherwise you can quickly sear and "bake" at 350 degrees- I found that disappointing- no thick juicy burgers. I just made the most amazing grilled butterfly lamb on this grill. Lamb, chicken and some pork like to cook lower and slower at 350 degrees, so I thought that I would try to use the grill. It was only 65 degrees with no wind outside. I had decided to pre-grille my veggies before cooking my meat. The unit had been on for about an hour at high (5). I was so surprised that (after having so many problems getting a higher temperature) that I had to keep turning down the unit to (3) and open the lid to get back to 350 degrees. I have read about and experienced all the issues about reaching and maintaining a higher temperature. I was pleasantly surprised and my dinner was excellent. Maybe it only worked so well because it had been on for so long and was heated through. I wish that Char-Broil would create a cookbook with recommended cooking times for this product that included meat cuts and thickness.

Gets the Job Done!
Nice little grill! Very easy to use. Cooks all the favorites, from Steak, Chicken, Sausage, Hamburgers even Shrimp & Fish! Just beware that it loses a LOT of HEAT when the lid is up so make your adjustments to your food quickly. Usually maxes out at *525 Degrees with *550 max but can vary with wind or temperature. After use scrape down the inner bowl to the holding tray & unload that tray regularly. Wipe the grill shelves down with a damp cloth, keep it covered and make it last!

Exactly what I was looking for!
I purchased this about 1year ago and we’ve put so much use into it. Where we live we’re not allowed to have a Charcoal or gas grill, so I had to look at other options. After reading many reviews and comparing features, I decided to roll the dice and purchase this item. We’ve used it so many times, winter and summer and it works just as I was hoping it would. Great investment!

Needs some tweaking
I have only made two things and they did come out very juicy and tender. Same issues as many; loses excessive heat when lid Is opened this food takes much longer to cook. Would like to know how to cook with indirect heat with this product. Anybody know how? Ok bbq if you cannot have gas or charcoal grill
