Size up dress is fitted and lovely

I am 5'8" and 255 pounds with a 42DD bra. I ordered a size 18, which fit relatively well overall, but presented some issues. The upper part of the dress in the breast area tended to lift up slightly, the lining was visible at the bottom, and the thigh-high split was too high. I have considered altering it, but fear that it may rip the dress due to its limited stretchiness. Additionally, I plan to wear a tummy control girdle to smooth out my midsection. Therefore, I recommend sizing up if you have a larger bust, bigger stomach, and prefer a less fitted dress. Despite these issues, I would recommend the dress and look forward to wearing it to my nephew's wedding.
