great dutch oven

Love this dutch oven to make meatballs and spaghetti sauce, also to make stuffed cabbage rolls in the oven. I cleans very easily and cooks evenly.

A great choice

This is a substantial, quality Dutch oven with a nice polished steel finish. It is a bit heavy, as you'd expect considering the thickness of the bottom. Vary happy with this purchase.

Not really a "Dutch oven"

This item isn't really a "Dutch oven," but rather what professional chef's call a rondeau. A true Dutch oven has a heavier lid, generally made of the same material as the pot itself (such as cast iron), whereas a rondeau will have a lighter lid made of steel or glass. But, to quote the Bard, that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and so whether we call this a rondeau, a brasier, a brazier, a Dutch oven, or a casserole, it is still a worthwhile addition to any kitchen.

Exactly the size pot I needed

Great size for pasta sauces, jambalaya and more. Cleans up well. I have not tried it in the oven yet but am anxious to do so.

Very Pleased

I bought this Dutch oven for my son, and we are both very pleased with it. I have an 8 quart pot like it that I use for soup, so I already knew it would be nice. The five quart is just what he needed, and if he takes care of it like I take care of mine, it should last a very long time. I do recommend this Dutch oven, if you are looking for a good one.

My favorite cookware

I love this Dutch Oven from Calphalon. It cooks evenly and clean up is very easy. This is a great size to cook soups, stews, pasta etc. for my husband and myself - we get dinner the first night and then enough leftovers for a second meal.
