Rug smells horrible

It is a very pretty rug but it has a nasty smell. It has been on floor for three weeks and still nasty smell.

Better than rugs purchased at HD or Lowe’s…

4 stars because the rugs are wrapped with the top side of the rug inside so you end up with rugs with curled edges which are NOT SAFE for anyone. What we did was turn the runner upside down for 2 days and then we curled the tips and stood on them for a few minutes to “retrain” the rug. I tripped 3 times because of the up curl until we figured out a solution. I like my area rugs and I don’t like when my therapists come in and try to remove them. There is another method on YouTube to uncurl. I have to find again but I’m sure a Google search will provide instructions. The rug has a nice cushion feel. The design is way better than expected. I was afraid it might be too large but was very happy with the design size. I ordered the Navy color. My background rug is beige. I’m replacing a beige colored runner with this navy runner thinking it would make the space appear smaller but it did not. I really like this runner and will be ordering 2 more to cover the longer hallway. Delivery: FedEx advises when arriving but not at delivery - just left at door with no knock or notice. I also ordered the largest size for living area and dining area.
