Why Would Anyone Coat a Carbon Steel Pan!

This pan is actually made of carbon steel, however, it is coated with a cheap ceramic coating that eliminates all of the benefits of carbon steel. This has to be washed with soap and water, like a teflon pan, and the coating quickly loses its non stick properties. It is light weight, so if that is what you want, you may like it.

Weak coating

I assumed this was carbon steel given the name. It is cheap enamel.
