I bought this because my pans mostly are with no lids to them, I?m trying to get away from puttin aluminum on top of a pan to bake. So I thought I would try this, to much of my amazement this Corning Ware worked out excellent. Macy keep bringing out bakeware with lids on them, and I?ll keep buying them now.

I like corning ware and have used for years, like that there are handles on this casserole, but I am concerned that the lid is fragile and might chip on the edges.

This is a nice Corningware casserole dish with a glass lid. The dish seems just like the old Corningware, which is great. The lid has no metal edge around the glass -- it's all glass (except for the Corningware knob) -- so I'm a little concerned about its robustness as it gets banged around. Nonetheless, I am happy with this product because it actually has a lid. I don't know why it's so hard to find a casserole dish with a lid! So I'm just glad I don't have to keep wasting aluminum foil to cover my casseroles.
