14636 Sous Vide Professional Style Cooker, Created for Macy's
Product details
Web ID: 4890373Easy to use and accurate. Only one CON
Pro: Very easy to set and use and the water heats up fairly quickly with accurate temps. Con: There is no audible alarm to tell you it's reached the temp, so the timer starts counting down before you realize it. It's also a problem when there is no alarm to tell you it's done. It's not a big deal for most foods, but when I'm cooking a soft egg at 167 for 12 min, I have to hover over it or set a separate alarm, I shouldn't have to do that.
Already Ordered Second one for Gift
This is amazing device to own. After one weekend experience, I already bought another one for gift. I hope it will last a while.
Good product
I am really happy with this Sous vide. i used it few times and it is just perfect. i recommend this product.
Missing Hardware
Bought three months ago for a special birthday present. opened it today to find the manual and the screw for adjusting the clip missing.
Incredible results, seeing, and tasting is believing!
So easy to use, cook tomorrow's meal overnight or during the day. Virtually NO cleanup, I cooked a 4 lb. roast overnight and it was so tender I was amazed, and the color was perfect edge to edge, no dried up ends. I will be using this more and more. Great as gift too!
Steak was tough and overcooked
I gave only used my soys vide once. I think I cooked the steak too long. It was very tough. I intend to try it again soon.
Mid level Sous Vide did the job
This sous vide heated water fast and about as accurately as my Anova. I prefer the feel of the anova, but they just need to keep water at an even temp. I'll update if long term use changes
Fabulous every time
It took one time for us to become a fan of sous vide and this Crux cooker. We have had it a couple of weeks and have tried chicken, steaks and salmon. The cooker does most of the work, producing perfectly cooked item each time. I understand you can even do ice cream?? We shall see.
