I had been looking for a while when macy's had the crux sous vide.Temp. stay where it needs to be.cooks like magic. eggs are out of this world....so good and rich.
Great new addition to for Family Dinners
Very happy with my purchase! Has the look and feel of a quality item. Heats water quickly and keeps it at temperature. I recommend learning about the sous vide technique. My first couple of tries had a few problems, but now that I better understand the method, I am loving it and my family is liking the results. I love that I can set up my meat in sous vide, and then leave it and focus on something else until later, and not have it overcooked.
Resturant Quality Steaks and so simple to use
Received as a gift and this thing make the most amazing steaks, pure restaurant quality. You can use a regular pot for it. I then purchased for a friend as a Bday gift. He couldn't believe how great and perfect medium the steak came out.

Perfect Sous Vide
I recently purchased the Crux Sous Vide machine. I am not that familiar with the Crux brand. This unit has 1,000 watts of power, which is the main reason I chose this over the other brands listed on the Macy's website. I have used this Sous Vide twice since I purchased it, once on frozen chicken breasts and also on pork loin chops that were 1.5 inches thick. The chicken was not planned, I was testing it out to see how well it would cook from frozen, I was impressed how easy this is to use. The thick pork loin chops were planned, I cooked 4 of them at 145 degrees for 1 hour and 35 minutes using a marinade and sealed in Food Saver vacuum bags. The pork loin came out tender and very juicy. This machine is very quiet, and it heats up fast. The next food item I will cook is beef tenderloin, I have no doubt they will be amazing! I am an experienced cook & baker, and I am very happy with my purchase!
Temperature Flucuations
We have used it twice now and the temperature continuously fluctuates up and down a tenth of a degree or so from the desired and set temperature. So much so that the timer never starts. Not sure if we are doing something wrong or if there is an issue with the appliance.

Great machine and heavy Duty! Used a few times and only had a few weeks but great for making poached eggs, hard boiled eggs, steaks and burgers are awesome! Cook meat to perfect temp me 136 for beef then sear both sides then wow better than restaurant quality!!!! A++++
