Good option for small portions

If you have the need to regularly deep fat fry, an electric fryer is a must-have to contain the mess and maintain oil temperature. This fryer is small enough to keep out on the counter between uses. The adjustable temperature gauge is pretty reliable when operating correctly. The basket is big enough to hold two drumsticks, 2-3 chicken strips, or 1-2 portions of fries, so if you are cooking for multiple people or one teenager with a big appetite, you will be working in batches. We had our first Cuisinart compact fryer for 2 years 9 months before it stopped getting up to temperature. While that's too bad, we definitely got our money's worth in that time. After researching other compact fryer options, I decided that this model was still probably the best option out there and purchased a second one to replace the broken one.
