Love it!

I've always wanted to try an emersion blender and finally took the plunge. The Cuisinart Smart Stick is easy to use, powerful and is extremely well made. It does not look or feel flimsy. Made corn chowder when I got it - worked beautifully! Why did I wait so long to buy one? Love it!

Perfect replacement!

I’m happy to say this stick blender is wonderful! I like the steel insertable stick & blade very much. I had one of lesser that primarily claimed to be color coordinated with your kitchen and it was a nice blue, but lacked efficiency when actually blending! This replacement is a great improvement when blending soup and iI am so glad I got it. Gabe the other one to the thrift store!

Cuisinart Smart Stick

I purchased this specifically to make vegan butter and it worked like a charm. It is simple to operate and easy to take apart to clean. It was on sale when I bought it and that helped too.

Design flaw

Having to press both the Power button and the other button at the same time to start the stick is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous bkz 2 hands are really needed to press both buttons at once and the force with which the Stick jumps into action makes the mixing bowl slide out from under the Stick or just start spinning before you can hold it down with one of your hands once the Power button is no longer needed. Short of using a concrete grade weighted bowl, I could think of no safe solution to this setup. So I returned the product. Disappointed but knowing it was a dangerous tool.
