The lid does nut open properly

Lid not opening properly I have to use the insert bowl sides to lift it

I have found this product to be a fabulous all round cooker for soups, curries all sorts of one pot meals as well as cooking perfect rice, sushi etc

Didn’t work properly right out of the box

The display didn’t work properly on the unit we purchased but warranty provided good service and we have received a replacement unit but haven’t used it yet.

WASTE Of MONEY

WASTE OF MONEY. I bought this less than a year ago and it’s already broken. One of the buttons got stuck or something because stop working. Horrible product I give one star because if not I won’t be able to make this review.

Worked just fine to start then didn’t work again

Used it once for cooking Kasha, buckwheat groats where it worked just fine. The next time it wouldn’t turn on so I returned it. I’m disappointed since I really do like Cuisinart products and have quire a few.

Crappy rice cooker

I bought this rice cooker and was really excited. After three uses the bowl started to peel. I called Cuisinart customer service and they treated me like I was stupid. I will be returning it and buying another brand.

Versatile

This is a versatile addition to the kitchen. It takes a long time to cook rice which is my reason for the 4 stars. I also find I need to add a bit more water but maybe that's because I'm making small quantities. It is nice to be able to set it and get other things done without worrying about burnt rice or other grains. I also use it to make beans. I've probably used all the settings at this point. The versatility and price were my reasons for choosing this over the much more expensive other brand. I would purchase this again.
