New Cuisinart replaces old Cuisinart

I got my new 7 speed mixer as a replacement for my old Cuisinart 7 speed which was 32 years years old.The motor was showing signs of wear.

40 years later…

I needed to replace my mustard yellow Hamilton Beach hand mixer, circa 1980, so opted for the Cuisinart. Little did I know that these wire whisks would be so magical. In the old days, I would stand there whipping cream endlessly with my old mixer. This time I had a recipe that required my Kitchenaid stand mixer for the cream cheese part of the filling and another bowl for the whipping cream portion. I only have one bowl so whipped the cream in my big Pampered Chef measuring bowl. I started of slow and kicked it up eventually to whip. Wow. It was done so fast that I was afraid I was about to make butter. Well done Cuisinart!

Very powerful mixer

Comedically powerful. I live in fear of it. This is a weapons grade beast that will splatter your walls with zero care for convince. Rock hard butter, bread dough, frozen chocolate chips, I half believe it could pulverize rock. There is no light setting. Just war. Needs a weaker starting speed and better vibration protection. Exceptionally loud

Absurd speed levels

It’s level 1 speed is so fast, that it is impossible to beat things slowly. So if that’s what you’re starting from, it’s very hard to use if you want to build a gradual speed. Had I known that, I would’ve purchased a different mixer.

Waste

I gave it a 1 because the beaters are not sufficient for using with certain foods. They are weak and not strong enough. When I opened the box and I saw the beaters were like strings, I thought this must be a mistake. Maybe the additional beater was left out. As I’ve always received two types of beaters with a hand mixer. I decided to try using it for mash potatoes. Sorry! It’s doesn’t do the job. I don’t find it useful for anything except whipping light things like cream or eggs. Don’t waste your money!!!!

Happy with mixer

Very happy with mixer. I bought this to replace one of another brand that worked but splattered food everywhere. This mixer works well and smoothly.

Would like replacement parts but parts aren't avai

The plastic blade retainer is broken and doessn't hold the blades like it should. The beaters fall out of the unit without pulling the release lever.

Cuisinart is a good product

I had a Cuisinart hand mixer for many years, so I chose to purchase another when mine needed replaced. The design is a little different than in the past. The handle is thicker, and becomes harder to hold with thicker cookie dough. My arm got tired when mixing. But for thinner batter, it works great.
