I believe it releases cooper when heated
I bought a the small .9l was very happy with my buy, for the size and apperance. Not so happy now, for some reason water turns to a light reddish color when cooking. My daught used it fir baby food. She cooked a red apple without its peel and the water turned color. I had thought it was due to the red peel but she used it again with lentals and same coloring came about

Beauty can be deceiving
I agree with the other reviewer who gave this product 2 stars. I bought a pot, loving the contrast of the brass or whatever the handle and lid top is, but with one wash I noticed the pot handle wasn't quite the same. I thought it was due to my sister putting it in the dishwasher and reconed I should hand wash it from thereon. I was really interested in buying other pieces, but after seeing the review and noticing a similar problem deciding otherwise. PS It cooks evenly and I was pleased with everything except the handle not keeping its color.

Bronze color wears off
The bronze handles were a huge selling point for me as I loved the look of them. Have had them for 2 months and the bronze has turned a silver color. I should have went with a less expensive set as this was the only reason I chose these.
