Works very well. (I had purchased a Kitchenaide spice grinder which only lasted a year before breaking.) When I saw Cusinart had one, I remembered that we went through several stick blenders before landing on a Cusinart which has lasted 10 years, so I purchased this Cusinart spice grinder and am very happy with it.

Removable bowl doesn't come out.
I bought this grinder back in July 2025 and I was pretty happy with it until the second time I used it because now I cannot remove the removable bowl.

Hardworking Powerhouse
This little powerhouse exceeded my wildest expectations. In trying to make garlic powder, I broke my previous grinder. With trepidation I loaded the dried garlic in the Cuisinart, and it reduced everything to powder in seconds. And it's easy to clean for when I don't want everything to taste like garlic!

Stopped working almost immediately
I bought this in August. It stopped working after 3 very small batches of long pepper. Waste of money

Essential tool for health, especially calcium
This is a great tool to make lots of natural calcium, antioxidants and omegas. I bought this for my mother so she could make the trifecta to make her bones stronger while aging. The trifecta is flax, sesame(50% calcium for the human body)and chia seeds. Use this Spice and Nut Grinder to put into a powder form. I add it to the sugar shaker and sprinkle on everything; oatmeal, omelettes, salads, pasta, rice and beans etc... it is a power house of healthy vitamins. Even my dogs get a dose of it twice a day. Only grind it until the seeds are in powder form, otherwise it can become a butter and then you cannot sprinkle it on your food. It lasts 3-4 months in the fridge too.
