Product is not up for the task

After using this product for approximately one year now, it broke down on me. I mean, just stopped working. I have had blenders that lasted for years. This was not a cheap one either.

New blender for me.

I replaced a 40 year old blender with this Cuisinart blender. Very nice. Works better than my old one, of course.
