Blender blade smoothie

Received this as a gift a while back. Used it a handful of times and I knew it wasn't worth the cost but I also didn't want to go and buy a new blender. The thing couldn't even blend a single banana, and often the bottom would leak while I was blending, which was a pain to clean. I don't know what to do now because I've barely used this thing and the blades came apart while I was making a smoothie. I was wondering why nothing was happening, I was trying different settings to get it to blend, my dog was freaking out because of the noise, and I gave up. Got out my kitchenaid handheld to finish the job and poured the smoothie into a different container. Good thing I did. The blades had come apart and all of the metal (sharp) pieces were INSIDE my smoothie. Of course I didn't end up drinking it for safety reasons, but sifting through that mess was cold and gross and scary. Not only did I waste food, but this was horror movie stuff because even if I removed the blades, there were small metal parts that were hard to find. I cannot recommend this to anyone, and since it's past warranty, I'm not going to spend money on trying to buy new parts for something that never worked in the first place.

New blender in my old hands!

This is an absolutely beautiful blender. Instructions to assemble were clear-cut. I am quite elderly and was concerned I might not be able to handle the blades but with care I had no issues with the blades. So happy to have purchased this item!
