Worked well for about a year. Then, the unit wouldn't run when the jar was on it. The motor works fine until the jar goes on it. Then, it makes noise, won't turn the blade. and the motor shuts off. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Don't buy this product.

Performance of my new SmartPower 7 Speed Electroni
For a Cuisinart appliance I am very disappointed with this blender. I was making a large batch of Toum (garlic mayo sorta) and it keep lighting up all the buttons and stop working. It will be ok to do anything thin but I doubt it will work on even a smoothie.

Powerful, versatile, but shut off if overloaded
Thus replaces an older, simpler model. I like the optional functions. I was surprised when the blender suddenly stopped while blend8ngba thick smoothie. Other than that, I love it.

Macy's Customer service LIES!!!! This is apparently is still shipping to me??? So how can one write a review, when one hasn't received it yet??? Oh and BTW it not even in stock!! When you call customer service, it's not even in AMERICA! ASKED to speak to a supervisor and you get they are on a call and the wait time is 45 minutes wait for them on one call?? So Macy's you have LOST ME AS A CONSUMER!!!
