Very bad luck with the pearl, hoop earrings!

I received the earrings and went right into my bathroom to put them on in front of the mirror. First of all, they are much smaller than I thought I was getting and very hard to put on. when I opened the catch to put them on, immediately the pearl fell right off of the silver hoop and went right down the sink drain. I was just so angry about it. so everybody that takes a chance on ordering them, be aware of the loose pearl. I simply cannot believe an expensive pair of earrings like that would not have some kind of safety to keep the pearl on the earring. I cannot even return them for a refund as I have two silver hoops and only one pearl. What an expensive, disappointing purchase this has been!
