Damaged upon arrival

The package did not look damaged when the UPS guy handed it to me. But, when I opened the box, the clasp was fastened but the string of pearls was broken about two inches from the clasp. The string was frayed at both ends. Whoever packaged the gift box should have seen this when they packaged it.

Earring color is different -Low quality pearls

The pearls are not good quality and unevenly sized. Color of earrings is more like cream rather than pink and don’t match the necklace

Almost pretty

I am trying to be polite here, but nearly 1/3 of the pearls look fake, and are cultured pearls supposed to have a seam? I know they are basically lab grown, but they just don't look right. The earrings look higher quality than the necklace. Am returning with the broken studs (broken IN the box!) and will treat myself to a higher quality strand of pearls next year. Macy's has lost its credibility with me.
