great coffee but...

makes great coffee with limited options but needs improvement on a couple things. or buy a more expensive machine. the holes on the bottom plate need to be bigger for better drainage. the latte maker cleaner may clean the system and wand but makes a mess on the bottom of canister and plate. the water has to go somewhere. a bigger plate and better drainage would be an improvement. the wand needs to have lateral movement to accommodate different glass sizes and better positioning for draining water when cleaning instead of flooding the plate. auto shutoff? why? shuts off in 20-30 minutes. if you're enjoying your morning and want another cup or 2 you have to turn the machine on again. because of that the cup warmer is pretty useless. a nice feature but doesn't really get warm enough to warm a cup sitting up there and by time it gets any kind of warmth the machine turns off.

It makes cappuccinos. It makes espresso. I can buy my own beans. I love love love it.

a letdown

Have gone through two of these machines. The first one broke within the first week. A component of the machine got stuck. It also had a problem where it wouldn't suck the coffee beans down and would stop. (making you hover over it to make sure the coffee beans go down so the machine doesn't stop..) we thought it was a fluke... returned it and got another one. this one has the same issue with the coffee beans, and now the milk frother isn't producing frothed milk. needless to say i will be returning this one and getting another brand/machine entirely. so inconvenient.
