CLOSEOUT! Hyperlite 2.0 20" Carry-on Expandable Spinner Suitcase, Created for Macy's
Product Details
Web ID: 2575176Flimsy wheels
The suitcase is lightweight, spacious for a carry on and looks amazing but the makers compromised on the wheels. The wheels are very flimsy and don’t roll in the direction that you walk. They seem to have a mind of their own! Returned it..
great look and practical
Just the right size!!! Well finished inside. Matches other pieces that I had. Very light weight.
Very light but some issues
This is a very light carryon--the lightest I was able to find after much searching. As I travel a lot, having it on planes and trains did make life much easier. It is also quite spacious, and so in the beginning I was happy with it. However, as I used it more, the I found that the suitcase has two important design limitations because of which I have returned it--and thanks to Macy's they took it back. One is the outer pocket zips from the side and doesn't have a fold that lift up the top a bit for ease of putting things in and taking them out. Putting even my little laptop in it, and taking it out has been such a hassle--and painful because your knuckles run against the zipper--that I just stopped using the outer pocket altogether. This is a serious limitation especially as one wants to be able to quickly take the laptop out and put back in a security line. Second, while the suitcase rolls okay, it is not super smooth, and puts some strain on your wrists. This is because the handle--while lightweight--is on the flimsy side, with more of a give in it than is erganomic. If you have a long way to your flight gate, or to a taxi when you get out, keeping your suitcase on track can start tiring your arms.
My Fav Suitcase
Every time I buy a suitcase, I'm never that impressed. BUT with the Delsey Hyperlite 2.0, its a favorite when traveling. Super lightweight and haven't had any problems so far. Bought this suitcase 2 years ago and still working as described.
New carryon
SO much better than my last carry-on...just as much room but easier to handle...very light weight.
Not good
used three times and one of the wheels has already snapped off.
Very light
This carry on is really very light. It weighs 4.4 lb as it claims. Nowadays, some airlines allow 15 lbs for carry-on (some airlines do weigh your carry-on), hence this light weight carry-on allows me to carry more items. The wheels glide very smoothly. I highly recommend this carry-on.
Love the Delaney product line!
I have purchased the hard case carryon bags for my boys previously. I needed to get a new carryon for myself. I like the brand and when I saw a lighter weighted bag and thought it looked good. Pros- It is light and made well. I like the color and materials used in the construction. It is easy to roll and I could fit a full week’s of clothes easily. Con- I like to place my briefcase on top of the bag as I go through the airport for convenience. The lighter weight of the bag created a balance issue since my briefcase with the computer and tablet is heavier. The soft side structure did not balance as well as my son’s hard side case I have used previously. I also prefer the built in lock on the solid bag. All in all I am pleased. I just position the bags close to a solid structure when left on their own.
