It's a trade-off
It is as advertised, and inside is smaller due to the front opening. I chose this sight unseen (had to order it with the rest of the pieces for the set we chose). Using it one time, the front "pocket" is slender and cannot accommodate anything bulky due to it being a "hard-sided" suitcase. So it fits my large laptop, but not the bigger charging cord. Between the 2 choices of carry-ons, you need to decide if you will want convenient access to your work laptop or would prefer more storage space inside. Also, since I chose this style, we were limited for color, (grey), which was not my first choice.

LOVE the front compartment!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a WONDERFUL carry-on! I have a carryon already, but it is your standard, clamshell, side-zipper opening style of luggage. I absolutely love the separate compartment on the front that is meant for a tablet and/or laptop. My travel is all leisure, as I am a stay at home mom. We often will fly from a cold place to a warm destination, requiring a change of clothing on the airplane. I LOVE that I can pack my warm weather clothing separately in that front pocket and therefore do not have to open up the whole carryon nor do I have to bring a separate bag with the change of clothing inside. Due to the way it opens, I can even just open up the airplane’s overhead compartment and I don’t have to pull the carryon out. Just unzip from the top, reach in and voila! Yes, it is a bit of a minor point for some but I really do love this feature! Aside from that, all other features (spinner wheels, zipper, combo lock, expander) work smoothly and efficiently, as one would expect from the Delsey brand. I am so thankful Influenster gifted me this piece of luggage to review as I may not have ever sought out this specific feature on my own but I am now completely enamored with it!

Smooth 360-degree independently spinning wheels make sure you won’t get hung up while zipping through the terminals to your destination. The hard shell design will keep your precious cargo safe from the tumbling carousel while the grey carbon-like design will help you stand out from the masses and their basic black luggage. You have an easy access panel on the outside of the front that allows you quick access to those items, along with Velcro sides to allow for expansion. The main zipper of this carry-on is heavy duty, helping ensure you won’t have a luggage blow-out before you return home. The zippers come together at the top of the luggage to click into a TSA-approved combination lock while also allowing you to add an additional lock for extra protection. You get a spacious interior with elastic bungees to keep you clothes in place, and a two compartment zippered pane on the opposing side to keep your items separated. Lastly, if you’re a notorious over-packer like me, the outside back of the luggage has an elastic band so you can loop your carry-on onto the handle of your checked bag fir easy navigating around the airport and to free up a hand. Amazing Suitcase!

There is a place for a TSA key too so they can get in. Highly recommend this suitcase!!
