beautiful lamp but...

This is a very beautiful lamp with 2 buts...first, I have a large bulb in my lamp but the shade still sits about 1 inch BELOW the top of the base, rather than at the top of the silver part above the base. I wish it were higher as in the picture. And second, the shade just balances on the top of the bulb. There is a ring inside the top of the shade and this ring just sets on the top of the bulb, so it is a bit unstable.

Winner!

The lamp looks even better in person. Depending on it’s surroundings, the lamp looks a bit like denim but it’s ceramic. I purchased it with the darker shade. It is a definite winner that would well in many applications!
