A vacuum for my needs.
Best vacuum i've ever owned. I recently had surgery on my collar bone and needed to be able to clean the house. My old Dyson Multifloor 2 was too heavy for my current strength. The Gen5 detect has alleviated this problem. One thing to note: The battery was dead on arrival. Dyson did remedy the issue with a new battery but it did take time to happen. I will hope that battery degradation is not as bad as people claim.

Not used to its full potential
This product cuts out when on mats or thick carpet, Dyson have replaced all parts and still the same issue only works on low power mode which stops the Gen5 being used to its full potential

Battery
Very disappointed in the battery life while using. I have been using the Econ feature and still only get 30 minutes use. I purchased this cordless vacuum because of the stated 70 minutes of use.

Overall excellent performance
We have been using this vacuum stick for about a month. Completely satisfied with its performance including battery life, reliable charging and performance on both hardwood, lino, finished concrete and carpet floors. The digital summary of particle sizes is an interesting statistic and we are attempting to use this info to compare with higher filtration for our furnace. Overall, would not hesitate to recommend the Gen5 Detect.

Great suction on both floors and carpet
Am impressed with the suction on using it on AUTO. In ECO mode it works great on smaller rugs. Love using the floor attachment. Sweeps up hair, dust and other miniscule debris. Like the idea of dismantling attachments to clean them. The battery lasts longer on AUTO but purchased an extra battery if I chose boost mode. I've only had it 2.5 weeks and quite happy with its performance.

Good, Powerful Vacuum
Very happy with this vacuum cleaner. Very powerful cleaner, a lot more than my previous Dyson, V10. Great for all surfaces in my house. I like the convenience of the attached hidden brush to reach into small areas. It is quite heavy though and sometimes my wrist aches when using it to do the whole house. Only a slight downside compared with all the positive aspects.
