Did not work well on wood floors
I like the power and the battery life, however for Christmas I received a knock off brand so I compared the two. I have a cat and have a lot of hardwood floors and have to vacuum daily for litter. After using Dyson I went over floors with knockoff and it has a green light show me places where Dyson did not get litter I was shocked. Of course knockoff did not do carpets as well as Dyson. But I will definitely be using knot for hard floors. So now I have to use 2 vacuums. Not crazy about that.

Not at all what I expected!!
A few months ago I purchased a Dyson V11 Extra vacuum to use for "whole-home deep cleaning" and I am really not impressed with it's performance. The vacuum seems to just push the dirt or debris away instead of sucking it up. I find it is necessary to empty the container while only being less than half full to continue cleaning. It seems that I am doing more work to use this thing than it doing the work for me, I may as well be on my hands and knees when I try using this to clean stairs; 1 hand has to hold the container while keeping the power trigger pressed, and the other hand holds the other end with a useless attachment on it. This vacuum is an absolute disappointment and now has me convinced to not buy Dyson again.

Have had it about a month. Hung the charger in a closet. Very handy and effective for both wood floors and several rugs. Quieter than my older V10, an improvement welcomed by my cats. Battery easily swapped on this model too, handy if I decide to get another but so far no need. Recommend.

A very good basic Dyson vacuum cleaner.
We've only had the Dyson V11 for a few days to know we like It very much. Low runtime at maximum vacuum is not a problem because we can't see where we'd need it much. In fact it sucks so hard on maximum that it makes it hard to move the head back and forth on some carpets. The only reason we gave it 4 of 5 is because it doesn't have a trigger lock. My wife has arthritis in her hands and mentioned that a lock would be nice to have.

Love My Dyson!
I gifted myself a Dyson for Christmas this past year and I don't know why I waited do long. I always believed I didn't need to spend the extra money on a Dyson, when there are similar cheaper brands I could buy. I realize now, I've been wasting my money for years. Hoping I would get the results which I've come to find out, I can only get from my Dyson. It's so easy to just grab and go. The attachments are just what I need to clean every nook and cranny in my home. Suction power is perfect. Will never go back to the knock off brands!
