I brought this about 3 weeks ago and I will never go back to my old one. The suction on this hoover is incredible and its make my carpet all fluffy and soft. I also use it to hoover sawdust off my dwarf hamster and he seems to love the suction.

Good for light vacuuming only

Works ok in low power mode but if you use high power battery only lasts 5 minutes on full charge, can't even vacuum my very small house on that.

V8 is light and does the job

The Dyson v8 is perfect for us. It does the job and is lightweight and portable. We have a plug in Dyson for big cleans but tend to ode the v8 more often than not

Powerful and Light

The Dyson V8 is very light and the ability to empty the dust straight into the bin without touching any of the dirty parts or fiddling with a bag is very handy. The battery doesn't last as long as I had hoped so you may need to do sections rather than the whole house. I do have arthritis and carpal tunnel and I didn't realize that having to hold the trigger down to make the vacuum work would prove as difficult as it has. I will need to try make a work around for this. I wasn't able to fix my vacuum to the wall but I did get a stand that works great and holds my accessories too. It is nice to have the vacuum easily accessible and not stored away in the cupboard.

Lightweight and extremely effective and versatile

I purchased this machine to replace the Dyson V8 Animal that had tired after 5 years plus hard labour A new battery may have resolved the problem short term, but having taken into account the cost of a genuine Dyson replacement, battery we elected to go for a new Advanced model of the V8, as it was on offer at a promotional price. We are delighted with our new purchase as it has even more suction power than the V8 Animal had,which was more than adequate

Brilliant performance

I bought Dyso vacuum, tired of another hand set vacuum that it didn't work properly. Now so happy with the performance of my Dyson and very pleased with the hangings fixings does completely make a difference knowing that battery is charging ready when it needs.

Vacuum is fine, but Dyson will spam you constantly

Vacuum cleaner is fine, it's a vacuum cleaner, it vacuums things up and there's not much more to say about it. The 1 star is because Dyson continously bombards you with spam emails like it's 2003 - have you done this, have you tried this, what are your thoughts on this, please review your vacuums etc. I never signed up to receive these emails and have unsubscribed from them at least twice in the ~3 weeks since I bought the vacuum, but their unsubscribe system is either faulty or, more likely given that I never signed up in the first place, just spamming you regardless.
