Beautiful necklace

I was really excited to get this as a gift for my graduation present. It seemed like high quality. I wore it for the first time for my ceremony which was a couple of hours. When I took it off, i noticed it was already damaged, and the clasp on the necklace was bent. I have no clue how that happened. It made me a little suspicious of the quality. I also noticed that the box was just a typical Macy's box which was a little odd. Normally, Effy boxes their items in their branded box which I really like. Regardless, I do really like the necklace. I'm going to return the damaged item and try again with this necklace.
