Great star bad chain

It’s a beautiful star of David with the chain that is not good. I purchased it and returned it three times because the exact same link on the chain broke. Eventually gave up and bought a better chain for it

Necklace is thin, short 18''

The pendant is kind of small, smaller than the picture. The necklace is very thin maybe 1.5 mm. It's shiny but next to the other chains I wear it looks cheap, also it's short. I have a 3.5 mm silver chain from Macys I used to put the pendant on. For the money I spent I'm asking myself if the purchase was worth it or not? There are other Star of David pendants available for less that seem just as good.
