Web ID: 6855684Very stylish smartwatch.
My first smartwatch and overall I am very impressed with the Emporio Armani Matteo. On opening the delivery it was packaged very nicely in a stylish blacked out case to keep the watch in, which is perfect if you travel a lot. It comes with a USB cable charger which works with both the computer and USB plug in the mains. Setting up. Very easy to do, downloaded the app from the Google Play Store and paired the devices via a Bluetooth connection. After connecting my accounts and transferring across data (contacts, calendar, etc.) the whole process took 5-10 minutes and it was ready for use. I noticed the watch took a full charge a lot quicker than I first expected which is a big plus for this product. Aesthetics. Visually a sleek, clean and simple design that could be worn day to day for work and also out in the evenings as a dress watch. One of my favourite things about the watch is the ability to change the design of the face to whatever you would prefer (style, colours). One thing I would change is the strap to a leather or canvas version as the silver is quite weighty on the wrist. Usability. As per the set up the watch is very easy to use, a simple scroll userface and a responsive touch screen. Buttons on the side of the watch in a good position for use also. Features. With it connected to the phone it was great to have the messages pop up on the watch to quickly look at rather than getting the phone out, especially on the move. (This can become a nuisance with groups with a lot of messages however). The fit app isn't something I would use with this watch, could not imagine wearing it for a workout. However, interesting to see heart rate and steps. Other apps such as alarm, stopwatch, weather, torch I would prefer to use a phone but handy to have if needed. Battery. Lasts about 2 days from full charge (with no charging in between) which isn't as much as I would hope for. Although the quicker charge cancels this out provided you remember to charge it each day.

Emporio Armani - Matteo smartwatch review
I have had this watch for a couple of months now and have really enjoyed using all the different features. I have found the watch easy to navigate and really like the look/design of it, it’s really easy to pair with your phone and once you have done this you can change the watch face to a whole host of options provided which I really like. One of my favourite features on the phone is the “Fit” app which tracks the amount of steps you have taken in a day and how many calories you have burnt, it also sets you daily challenges which I have enjoyed trying to stick too. With that being said there is also a “Fit workout” app which tracks your workout so you can track if you are improving. With the watch being linked to my phone I can also see who is ringing, texting or emailing me without having to look at my phone and any social media notifications, it also allows you to switch or skip the song on your phone if you are listening to music which is another feature I have found useful when in the gym mid exercise. It’s quick and easy to charge and is definitely a watch I would recommend, especially if you are an active person

Best of the smart watches
After testing the watch thoroughly over the past few weeks I am extremely impressed with the features, of all the smart watches I've used this truly has the best features of them all. The NFC payments and fitness tracking have proved to be useful features rather than gimics. And the extremely slim and premium styling really makes this feel worth the cost easily.

Stylish and packed full of features!
I've been using this watch for a couple of months and am really impressed! Android OS is quick with a good range of apps - especially useful for tracking fitness (and golf!). Very well made and I've had lots of compliments on the design. Only issue is battery life rarely lasts more than a day with moderate use which isn't great but you get used to charging each night.

stylish and quality timepiece
Thank you for giving me the chance to review this watch. The watch face is an appropriate size: not too small to read text and not too large that it dwarfs your arm, especially if you are wearing long sleeve shirts. There is the functionality to adjust the size of the text, so I've always defaulted to large. I found it lighter than the size of it would suggest. When I've used it for running I've not noticed any difference when compared to more dedicated running watches that I've owned previously. Having a rubber strap to change when doing fitness activities would be a bonus as it can slip during workouts. Regarding battery life, you get about a day's worth, that's with moderate use. You can improve on this, with toggling the 'always-on screen' and adjusting the brightness but you should put it on charge before going to bed as you can lose 20% overnight. There are plenty of pre-programmed Armani style watchfaces, but for me i prefer the more futuristic looks that look less cluttered, but the options are their to find one you want. The menu button is easy to operate and navigate through the pre-installed apps. I've downloaded some new apps such as Strava and Google fit. I've found that Strava struggles to find a GPS signal without a phone nearby. With Google fit once it's connected and you've acquired a signal you can leave your phone at home. This is a fantastic watch, and one worth considering if you like a watch that's more stylish than others currently on the market.

Stylish, functional, Android powered smart watch.
Setting up: Out of the box, the watch was very straight forward to set up. It required initial charging, which was simple and has an easy to use magnetically connecting charging port to the back of the watch. There was a very nice easy sync feature to port over all of my google account details from my phone, making the whole setup procedure easier still. Issue - Unfortunately, on the first time of asking, during this process the watch got stuck on a 'continue setup on phone' screen (see image), despite my phone indicating that this process was completed. But after factory resetting the watch and starting again, the process was nice and straight forward and completed successfully on the second attempt. There is also a propriety Armani app that needs to be downloaded from the app store to help with the watch setup and maintenance. Design: The watch looks great in a simplistic way. It has the looks and style of a premium metal banded watch, and you wouldn't immediately know that it was a smart watch once setup - I guess this would be a good or bad thing depending on personal preference. I personally quite like it. It is comfortable to wear, and has an easily removable strap. This allows it to be replaced incredibly easily with a more preferred strap design or say a rubber based one if wearing for sports/activities. One point for brand ambassadors, there is no immediately outwardly facing sign that it is an Armani watch - only when the screen is on, but even then, some designs allow you to display/not display the logo. (There are a couple of external brandings hidden in the strap mechanism and on the back by the heart rate monitor). OS: The watch is powered by Google's Wear OS. The first thing I noticed is that the watch didn't seem to have any propriety software to immediately start tracking and monitoring your heart rate. This is powered by 'Google Fit' and so you would need to either login to a pre-existing account to start any fitness tracking, or set up a new account. This however was very simple, and after putting in some basic details, I was off and running. The heart rate reading seemed to work well, and was comparable to that of another fitness watch I own. Running the two side by side, there were some discrepancies between the 2 (maximum sway of about 12 bpm), but overall they seemed to match up perfectly, and peaked and troughed in sync with each other. You'll never get as accurate a picture as when using a chest strap based monitor, but for a watch/wearable, it's certainly up to the task and gives a good indication of heart rate levels. Another useful feature for some is the ability to set up Google Pay, and pay for items with contactless functionality with the watch itself! (Without the need for your phone). This forces you to add the extra layer of security to your watch to unlock it - which is a great sign of security and that they're doing their due diligence, but can be very annoying in general having to unlock your watch with a code each time you want to use it. It also has everything you would expect with regards to message functionality, whether that's your phone's messaging service or WhatsApp. Provides all notifications that your phone displays, with the ability to read and dismiss etc. from your watch if desired. It can also be used to answer calls, but the call would then need to be completed on your phone as the watch itself doesn't have an inbuilt microphone or loudspeaker. Battery: The watch has good battery life, that weirdly seemed to improve over time. Initially, limited use of the watch left me with about 35-40% by end of the day. Moderate to heavy use - 10-20%. But now, minimal use of the watch leaves me with about 50-60% by end of day and can actually last 2 days (if turning off at night). It also charges incredibly quickly - going from about 10% to full charge in about 30 minutes. The watch also has a battery saver mode. This is great when needing to extend the life, especially as can kick in once the battery drops to a certain level (around 15%) but this limits some aspects of the watches functions, like bluetooth connections etc. Customisation: I'll mention the watch strap again here, easily allowing you to switch multiple straps on and off at your leisure. The biggest surprise for me was the watch face designs. Not only was there a good amount and range of faces to choose from, you actually have a good level of customisation of each face. Even some of the more minute details of each design can have the colour changed to what you wish (the dials, inlays, hour markers, main face etc.). You can also download more designs I have yet to explore these. You can also customise on some of the faces what metric to display as part of the design, e.g. date, step count for the day, heart rate etc. Conclusion: All in all the watch looks great and comes with a great level of customisation. It works well, minus the odd hiccup (I had the face/os freeze up on me when using the torch function and trying to turn it off again), but overall is a solid watch and runs quickly/responsively enough. It has great functionality being powered by android, so I imagine would allow multiple third party app installations which you wouldn't get from proprietry software powered smart watches. Unfortunately I've been ill for the majority of my time with the watch, so haven't been able to have a good play with new software installations or really testing the activity tracking for my running etc. But if desired, I can look to write a better/more indepth review once i've had it for a bit longer and really put it through it's paces.

Stylish, Intelligent Yet Sleek Wrist Enhancement!
Let me preface this. I review electronics and gadgets for a living on my blog. Before I make any conclusion, I like to use it for at least a month - this gives me a really thorough assessment period. It's been over a month and here are my findings. SUMMARY (5/5) Smartwatches I've had before have always been sluggish, geeky, unattractive and behind the fashion trend. This is where the Emporio Armani Matteo creates the trend (and destroys my previous opinion that smartwatches can't be fashionable). Everyone asks where I got my watch from and what model it is. And I go ahead and recommend it because it ticks all of my boxes. The only con I could find was the battery life drains quite quickly but this is made up for by the quick charging. STYLE In one word - timeless. The Matteo is an extremely good investment due to the classic stainless steel monolink bracelet and highly customisable watch faces (I opted for the retro digital look). In a few years time, when I'm feeling more mature, I have the option of the classic Emporio Armani watch face. It's one of the best aesthetic features. Also, the transition when you raise your wrist is beautiful, it goes from simplistic view to detailed. I've had many positive comments about this. BEST FEATURES - Vibrations & notifications - Heart rate monitor and step tracker - Torch - Find my phone - Extremely lightweight HOW DID IT BENEFIT MY LIFESTYLE - Notifications are extremely useful for work (meetings and emails) - Steps & heart rate tracker came in handy when walking the dog (because of it I'm now aiming for 6k steps a day vs 0 steps a day) - Torch is probably overlooked but it's one of my hardware buttons (for the dark winter nights when I'm trying to find my keys) - Find My Phone I'm sure everyone needs this. I've used it at least weekly.

Clean, Classy and Stylish!!
The EMPORIO ARMANI - MATTEO watch a very classy and stylish watch with an excellent build and finish. The over all feel and finish of the watch are very clean with refined metal work throughout that makes it feel very high end. The software experience was sub par to begin with until I received the latest update for wear OS which made it seamless as well as effortless to use day to day. the vibration motor on this device was a bit loud however was not distracting unless being used in a quiet area. The customization watch faces however were a massive bonus and really made the watch personal to my taste of watch. The battery life of the watch wasn't great as it would last on average a day of moderate use however due to the fast charging you can easily top it up when ever convenient to you. the wireless capabilities are amazing on this watch and NFC, WiFi and Bluetooth were all amazing and makes the watch usable all the time even when not near your main mobile phone device. The Customization buttons felt premium as did the scroll wheel which is key for navigating the UI of Wear OS. The heart rate monitor was good to have but I personally didn't want to wear this watch while doing sports or activities due to it being metal and classy. For general notifications however this watch is perfect and couldn't fault it. Side note the un-boxing experience was OUTSTANDING very high end product!!
