Cannot Return - Difficult/Unfair

Beautiful nightstand received unassembled and unopened, and I paid shipping of $22 to return to Macy as gift was no longer needed. Received note back that item had a damaged piece and they shipped it back to me with replacement. I recommend against buying small furniture on line as Macy will not accept back a package that was never opened.
