First, the once pot approach to cooking is fantastic. It's changed the way I cook and the way I eat - which is much better. But the Fagor Lux pot is not as good as it's rated. I returned mine. After noticing that it took forever to come up to pressure and burning a number of meals I realized that the steam valve was defective and quite shoddy. I returned mine and bought a different brand.
Not sure about this.... its a hit and miss
I purchased one for myself and use it weekly and have had only a few issues with it sealing late and the rice was mushy. My daughters that I purchased a year ago has had so many problems with the top! It won't seal and then it will, it won't seal and the dish is overcooked and then it will seal. Might be the unit and not the top as she ordered a new top and it's doing the same routine. SO exasperating and loss of cost of food. 1 year warranty maybe buy wherer it offers extended warranty.
Love my pressure cooker!
Love the pot. I made a stuffed pepper recipe and it took only 15 minutes to cook in the pot. Easy clean-up too. Life just got a lot easier!

I purchased this item on a great sale, I have always wanted one. It comes with great directions and my meal was awesome.
Better than expected
I had never used a pressure cooker, or a multi-cooker before. My control panel on Model (or Item) Number 670041880, the 6qt LUX model, looks different than the one pictured on this website. Mine does not have a "meat" or "beans" function. It has a "slow cook" function. I've cooked beans, pre-soaked and dried, quinoa, farro, brown rice, steel cut oats, ground turkey, and chili in it, so far, with great success. I love that it's a one-pot solution that cuts cooking and cleaning time in half.
