Very disappointed

I had a ver bad experience for buying this lady watch as a surprise gift for my wife. They sent me the men watch. I brought it to the store hoping to exchange from there but they don’t have it and i couldn’t do the in store return. They said I have to mail it in. This morning I received an email from Macy saying that they can not process the refund after reviewing my purchase history. I don’t know what do they meant because I don’t purchase much or return on Macys website.
