Attractive lamps, with a design flaw

They look great, but the design is flawed. It's nearly impossible to get the shade on without bending it or the base. The lamp base needs to come apart to allow the shade to be put on easily. I wouldn't buy these again, but I do like the look once my husband forced the shade on.
