Preticketed Issue

I really like this sweater, beautiful color, fit ok. My problem w/ this sweater is that I really believe it was worn by someone, returned and reticketed. It reeked of perfume, I need to launder it before I can wear it. I would return it, but you only have an xs available. I really do like this sweater, that is the only reason I’m keeping it. I have shopped Macy’s for many years and before when it was Famous Barr, but I am astounded that no one caught this issue before it was reticketed, repackaged and shipped. I know that there are people that do buy, wear and return, which is totally unacceptable, but why didn’t Macy’s catch the obnoxious perfume smell? I really hope someone from Customer Service contacts me on this as I need to understand how your restocking people didn’t catch this. Love the sweater, but how does this happen?
