More like stretch gym shorts with pockets. They are ok, but they gave size 34 belts for size 40 shorts so they are useless. One pair had a snag. Will ask for adjustment or will return.

Usually good w/this brand. These were huge. The pic makes them look normal but the legs on the size 34 were very wide. My son is 5'9 145 waist 33 slouched.. and was swimmin in 34. hope this helps
