Money versus Quality

I didn’t pay much for this, so this is a tough item to review, it’s hard to determine how much quality I can expect for what I paid. It was very difficult to put together, first off, I struggled getting it done, and I can put together IKEA items, so I’m no novice. One of the front pieces had chips in the laminate around one edge, and it’s visible now that the bench is put together. I can fix it, but should I have to? Fully assembled there is a lot of hardware that is visible, with no covers to conceal it. It does seem sturdy, I weigh 165 and it easily supports me, and the cubbies are of a nice size for boots and shoes. It’s particle board with laminate, so probably wouldn’t be suitable for heavy use. I think 3 stars is fair.
