Works great

The navigation was my main reason for purchasing. It does a great job using All trails but it is a little hard to zoom out and see the map due to the small screen. Also I am getting mixed reviews from my watch, it keeps telling me to take a rest day but then says my load of training is great.

Definite improvements over the Forerunner 945

This 955 replaced my 945 just over a month ago. There are several distinct improvements. I like the HRV addition and the morning report. The touch screen is a very nice improvement.

No bright light

The numbers and features color is too low at night or in the dark it is impossible to see the numbers and data. I'm wondering if it is deffective. Even okder Garmins I have have better brightness.

Loving the inbuilt heart monitor

Glad to ditch the chest strap in favor of the on board heart monitor. Allows for a lot more metrics to be recorded.

Great watch!

I have had the Forerunner 955 for about a month now and I appreciate the simplicity of the watch. Yes, it connects to your phone and has notifications but it's not like wearing your phone on your wrist. The fitness tracking is very accurate and easy to use with a long lasting battery life - I have only had to charge it once so far. I like to see the stats after each workout. The watch is able to get wet and be showered with easily.

Excellent features

I got my forerunner 955 because i started running this year and i had an apple watch for the past 7 years and i needed to upgrade. Friends told me to get a Coros but i always wanted a GARMIN and 2 weeks before running my 1st half marathon i decided to get my 1st Garmin ever and im in love with it.
