Web ID: 11247220A Nerd's Best Friend—with some drawbacks
I'm coming from a Venu 3S to the Legacy Darth Vader because I wanted the Limited Edition Star Wars watch and that was my primary motivator to switch. Pros: - The MIP display is amazing in the day. The backlight makes everything look a little washed out, but I strongly prefer this to an OLED display. - The leather strap is very comfortable, and the watch is relatively lightweight on the wrist so I often forget I'm wearing it. - Its overall appearance, I would argue, makes it versatile because it gives off an impression of a nice regular watch versus looking particularly smartwatch-y. Cons: - The battery life is significantly shorter than the Venu 3S. - Ever since I switched, my Sleep Coach/Sleep Score and Workout Impact analytics have not been working. - The MIP display shows some faces in very strange ways—typically gradients appear as cluttered dot matrices. This is a small issue, but limits the variety of faces you can use if you want perfect fidelity. Overall, I am happy enough with the watch to rate it favorably. The drawbacks are minor frustrations, but not enough for me to seek out a replacement any time soon. Maybe if Garmin launches a second round of Star Wars watches I would be inclined to upgrade.

The battery
The battery doesn't last more than 10 hours. Maybe I received a bad unit, but I've had four other Garmin watches and never had issues like this one.

Got this watch after my old forerunner finally gave up the ghost. Been using it for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. Super easy to sync with your phone, gets GPS signal quickly so there is no lag in starting my ride, and tracks everything from step count to body battery, and everything in between. Can't recommend this watch enough!

Do it all, super light activity monitor!
Perfect size, thickness and weight. First activity tracker that I am comfortable wearing to monitor sleep. To help you choose the right model, I can explain what are main differences of Vivoactive 4 and Venu. All special editions currently available are vivoactive 4 models with special bands and special design surrounding the front screen. Other than that, they are same as Vivoactive 4. Main differences between Venu and Vivoactive 4 are screen sizes (vivoactive comes in two sizes where 4S is small screen and regular is bigger), pixel density (Venu has AMOLED display and V4 comes with display used in most Garmin models), battery life (same on GPS mode, but 3 more days on V4 regular, about same in real life usage. I would recommend Venu actually for much better screen and minimal reduction in battery life), and slight design difference around bezels and front cover. I had smartwatches and their battery life is not useful enough for my long outdoor uses during mountain biking and trail running.
