The Georgia Boot Eagle Trail women s hiker boot is great for rugged casual wear or light industrial work environments. The full-grain leather upper has combination hardware and a padded tongue and collar. The interior of this lightweight waterproof hiker boot is equipped with a waterproof membrane and lined in a high-performance mesh material. The removable insole is made from polyurethane foam that provides both responsive cushioning and shock absorption with each step. Below the insole is a fiberglass shank for added stability and a dual-density EVA and Carbo-Tec rubber outsole with a multi-directional tread pattern. Saved my feet and my vacation

I was stranded my first day hiking in Acadia National Park with my Merrill boots with plantar issues, forefoot soreness, and metarsalagia - is that enough? A friendly hiking store put me into a pair of Keen's and Georgia Boot Eagle Trails. Hands down the quality of Georgia was evident. Never would have thought a working boot would prove better on the trail than the myriad of brand-named hikers available. Way to go! Put in my own inserts and off I went. Thanks for a women's true wide!! Soft enough for my sensitive nerves on the bottom and supportive all the way through. It saved my vacation and my feet. Worked without breaking in. Soft on the upper and love the lace up. You have a customer for life.

A nice surprise

I like these hikers a lot. I wore Vasque hikers for decades but their newer boots are too wide for my feet. I have other Georgia work boots which I love so I thought I’d try their hikers. I really like them. I hike 6-10 mi over varied terrain, a few times a month. So far, these boots have provided good traction & support up/down hills with rocks. They have proven waterproof in heavy dew. Comfortable footbed, ample toe box, boot tongue has enough give with foot flexion. I wear 8M and midweight hiking socks. See how they hold up this winter, but so far, I am impressed.

Solid, functional hiker

Maybe the only hiking boot ive ever owned that was comfortable out of the box! I did 5 miles of wet, uneven terrain on day 1. I have hypermobile ankles and knees and lower back issues and these felt awesome the whole time. Arch support is minimal, but that is very easily rectified with insoles. Frankly, I prefer a boot with room for an added insole regardless as built in robust arch support doesnt tend to last the life of the boot anyway. I am very, very happy I decided to give these a try. Ive worn vasque boots for the last 15 years, and have been disappointed with the quality in more recent years. Im hoping these will be my new go-to hiker.

Initial thoughts are nicely executed.

Initial impression is the construction is good for a price point hiker. Have not used enough to know how durable they are, nor how the outsole compound will work on different surface or in colder temperatures. Fit was spot on. Like they come with multiple pairs of laces. Like the dual density insole. Not too heavy even though they are leather. Surprised a work boot company pulled this off so nicely. Looking forward to burning some miles in them.
