The Georgia Logger Insulated GORE-TEX Steel Toe Work Boot puts the emphasis on safety, durability and performance. Equipped with a steel toe, this boot meets ASTM standards for protective toe and for electrical hazard, too. This logger has a one-piece rubber, cleated Vibram Tacoma outsole. Vibram is the leader in high-performance soling products that are lightweight, long-wearing and flexible. These soles are resistant to abrasions, oils, chemicals, heat and metal chips. Additional durability comes from the welt construction which enhances the boot's strength and flexibility. Waterproofing comes from GORE-TEX. This fabric is revolutionary: it's waterproof, windproof and breathable. This logger has a steel shank, as well as a covered cushion insole. A polyurethane orthotic insert is removable. Your feet stay warm in this boot. It's infused with 400g of Thinsulate Ultra insulation.

  • The Georgia logger boots are generally considered high-quality, comfortable, and durable work boots.
  • Many customers report the boots lasting 1-2 years or more with heavy daily use, praising their warmth, traction, and overall performance.
  • However, some customers have experienced quality issues such as the soles separating, hooks pulling out, and the boots becoming uncomfortable or squeaky over time, suggesting inconsistent quality control and durability.
  • While most customers are satisfied, the mixed reviews indicate the boots may not be equally reliable for all users.

These are reliable

I have been wearing this style of boot for 27 years now. I get about 2.5 years on them before replacing due to the soles wearing the lugs off and starting to get slippery on smooth wet floors. My feet stay warm and dry all year until I step in water that is higher than the gusset. But that’s to be expected. Shopping on here now to see if I want to switch up but why when I have such a long great history with this style.

These boots are comfortable. Waterproof and mostly warm. The steel toe makes my toes cold, more than I expect or have from other boots. The sole is rock hard. No give in cold weather/ice. I slip on everting. I bought them for winter and can’t even use them

Terrible/faulty bonding process/ glue

I’ve never owned a pr of work boots where the Vibram sole just peels off like a removable label. These boots haven’t been worn more than a dozen times. One completely peeled off and the other is on the way. It’s obvious that the adhesive used to bond the sole is either deficient and/or the bonding process is faulty. There are numerous one star complaints about this issue. Hopefully Georgia Boot did/does the right thing and investigated for the root cause during manufacturing and took corrective action, then providing free replacements. What say you GB ? Unfortunately I couldn’t add the photo as your interface doesn’t allow copy/paste-terrible !

Fell apart

The top of this boot separated from the sole in less than two months! It was not abused or misused. Been getting for many years but quality is giving downhill
