Sturdy, attractive set

I was searching for dinnerware for months before I came across this set. I wanted something simple, modern, durable for a family, and resistant to silverware marks. I did not realize that most of the sets I was looking at before (and what I owned previously) were ceramic which are known to show silverware marks. Once I started searching for porcelain, Gibson showed up and caught my eye. There are some inconsistencies in the dishes themselves (some plates have a thicker lip than others), but for the price I am happy.

Quality control issues on an otherwise pretty set

The visual design of this set is lovely, and I really liked the depth and shape of the larger bowls. But the quality control was a letdown. Several plates arrived uneven - slightly tilted, and a few pieces had scratches & imperfect finish straight out of the box. The set is also heavier than I expected, which made it feel less practical for everyday use. Overall, the look was great, but the inconsistencies in workmanship made the experience frustrating.
