Large version takes longer than stovetop

I have a 2 cup version which produces perfect rice and other grains. I use it every day. I bought a 4 cup version as a gift but found from the recipient that the larger version takes 40 minutes for white rice. I think the advertising should be more upfront that this is not a time saving device. Most people don't know what fuzzy logic is but still need to know it can result in longer cooking times.

Perfect rice cooker in a small package.

4 cup rice cooker

I have a busted cooker... why oh why can't the buttons do what you press them to do? This makes no sense at all. It sets its own time and I can't press a button to get it to do anything!!!!!! It's infuriating.
