Stopped working after 6 months.

I’m extremely disappointed, I purchased this food processor to replace my 8 year Black and Decker one, and it just stopped working. I use it twice a month to make sofrito.

Well worth the money

I've had this food processor for probably 10 years and loved it. I always used it to make salsa for the most part. The last three years I've been making cookie dough for Christmas cookies in it, and it's worked very well until this year, I started smelling the motor burning... well, needless to say it stopped working for me this year. I'm so upset, it's a good little processor, well worth the money. I'm actually debating buying another one but not sure honestly if it can handle cookie dough or not. Any input from anyone on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Attractive, efficient, slim food processor

I enjoyed many things about the Hamilton Bowl Scraper Food Processor, including its attractive profile. The processor is slim and takes up minimal space, despite holding ten cups of food. I used the processor to chop vegetables, including onions and mushrooms. It did a fine job, with some unevenness in size of the chopped vegetables. It also was able to whip up tofu into a creamy spread. The processor has two speeds, plus the pulse, which was nice; it was little loud. I did not have a chance yet to use the grater/slicer and am looking forward to trying that. The bowl scraper was an added bonus, and although it does not reach down to the very bottom of the bowl, there was no need for me to continually open the top to scrap down the sides of the bowl.

Food Scraper!

This has a large capacity (10 cups) and a like the bowl scraper more than I thought I would. Even though the handle doesn't go all the way around (the chute is in the way) the "blades" of the bowl scraper do go 360 around the whole bowl. Super convenient. Comes with 2 different blades (which lets you get a variety of different cuts) and it is super easy to put together right out of the box. Pretty easy to clean by hand, but also dishwasher safe! So that makes it easier.

Great Addition to a Cook's Kitchen

I already had a Hamilton Beach processor for years but coveted one with a scraper. I thought it would keep me from having to open the top and scrape down the sides with a spatula. I unpacked my new Hamilton Beach 10-Cup Food Processor with Bowl Scraper from its ample packaging. The base is a bit taller than my old processor, but round instead of square. The bowl, blender blade, and metal slicer plate are all unchanged from the original. The first thing I noticed was that I couldn’t store the multiple parts compactly. I immediately read the manual. According to the instructions I was supposed to set that sharp slicer on top of the blender with the totally harmless plastic scraper stored inside. The mechanism that controls the scraper arms prevented me from storing the extremely sharp, metal slicer plate inside the blender like I did with my previous model. REALLY?? I ended up keeping the slicer inside and stacking the scraper upside down on top of the blender. Ridiculous! I used the machine for the first time to make my buttermilk biscuit dough. I was so excited to dump all the ingredients into the bowl with the blender blade and new scraper. I locked the lid and turned it on. I noted that it is a bit quieter than my old blender. The dough started to come together nicely but there was quite a bit of flour hanging out at the top of the mixture, so I turned the scraper back and forth only to find the scraper arms don’t reach all the way to the bottom of the sides of the bowl! I was stunned! What good are scraper arms on the side of the container that don’t reach all the way down? Needless to say, I was beyond disappointed. Who designed this thing? Definitely not someone who cooks. Long story, short: The food processor is a strong and faithful addition to any kitchen. However, I would not suggest going out and buying this model if all you want is the scraper arm.

Does lots of tasks!

This powerful food processor with bowl scraper can do it all. So far I grated carrots and shredded cheese. I was able to shred a 1.5 lb block of cheese in less than 30 seconds. My only complaint is that it does not stack up well for storage while not in use. The manual shows that it does but when you add the shred/grate blade attachment it is not stable.
