Used once

I had 1 decent use out of it. My wife requested waffles I made her 1 then waited for another to make. After about 10mins I lifted the lid and it was still the batter no waffle. I believe the heating coil broke after 1 use very upsetting.

Makes waffles- not Belgian.

This is NOT a Belgian waffle maker. It is a standard waffle maker with a larger than usual grid so it can be called "Belgian". Waffles made with this waffle maker are exactly the same thickness as a standard waffle. If you like thick fluffy , true Belgian Waffles, this is NOT the iron for you. I gave it 3 stars because you can actually make waffles in it. Perfectly fine if you want standard waffles.

Great waffles after some practice!

I made my first batch of waffles ever at midnight after a long day at work. They were surprisingly good! This waffle maker is rather simplistic, which makes it easy to use. I did notice that the heating might be a little uneven if you leave it open for a long time. I learned that closing it in between batches, and pouring the batter quickly made my waffles much better! I highly recommend reading the instruction booklet. It has a lot of good tips! The basic waffle recipe from the booklet tastes better than store-bought waffle mix.

Makes authentic Belgian style waffles

We used this waffle iron at home with a prepackaged mix to make brunch. It makes real fluffy Belgian style waffles. It would be better if the plates were removable so that they could be washed, not just wiped down with soapy dishcloth. If you wanted to make waffles every week, I would suggest you look for a waffle iron that is easier to clean, but this is great if you’re only making them for special occasions.

Scrumptious waffles

Easy to use! Set up was simple. Directions understandable. With the perfect waffle batter had the best Belgium waffles. Tops with blueberries delicious. Can’t wait to try to experiment with fun recipes. Clean up was a breeze. Perfect size for storing. Takes up minimum space. Bring on the whip cream and enjoy the best waffle

Belgian Waffle Maker

The waffle maker performed as it should! There was nothing that stood out, since it is a basic waffle maker. Even though the waffle maker had a non-stick surface, any of the spillage was somewhat difficult if trying to clean it and not get water inside the unit, I still give it a good rating because it is a basic waffle maker and performed well.
