They are not made out of real wood. It looks like a design was printed on some type of hard plastic. Very disappointed.

Don’t put in the dishwasher!

I love the look and feel of these so much, BUT they are not dishwasher safe. The box says they are, but the finish peeled off after the 2nd wash. I was extremely disappointed. However, I just bought a second set and will hand wash them. Hopefully they last!
