Poor quality

I bought this set of wood blocks for my son and I regret doing it. first of all they are too small and a child choke with them, in addition they are poor quality so much so that the wood has splinters and it has a smell of a chemical (again not save for children). why is it that most products made in China are so questionable!!!! I’m going to return it.
