Much better design
I just purchased the new Shiatsu XL Massage Cushion to replace an older model of about 20 years. The extra coverage is so nice and the versatility of the nodes is great. I am never disappointed in HoMedics products.

Stop looking...this is the one!
Homedics is the grandfather of massagers...trust me. I have tried four different brands in the last few months. One only lasted 6 weeks. One you couldn't even feel the massage. One had the massager knods on a box-like thing which dug into your back and not in a good way...just let me say Homedics costs a little more but is worth the investment. I use this almost daily and it makes a huge difference in the quality of my life. This particular style has two shiatsu settings which is so awesome. It's also made to cover more of the back. I need lower back relief and this helps me so much. It is worth every penny.
XL means extra long top to bottom
This is my third version over 15 years, and it seems more like the first one I bought---the travel on massage unit is longer---hitting me from lower back to just above shoulder blades. The two shiatsu settings are a bonus. All previous units developed rips in the fabric back after about 3 yrs. I was able to sew them back temporarily, but then they failed again. I never tried to ask company for just a replacement cover.

Helps relieve my back pain.
I purchased Shiatsu XL Massage two months ago and I am so happy I did. I purchased this because my Dr. had one in her office. I have had 3 back operations and this massager has helped to relieve a lot of my chronic pain. I especially like the XL because it goes all the way up to the top of my shoulders.
