Faulty trigger on hose attachment.
Bought this a couple of years ago. When cleaning rugs in u pright position it works well. When I attach the hose to clean steps the trigger won't shut off. Continues to spray water and solution when I release the trigger. I have tried everything I know to unstick the trigger.

I’m so impressed! Easy to use and clean carpet so well. Can I use it on hard wood floors if I purchase the squeegee?

the new one has improved a lot
I got this new one to replace the previous one by Hooever from 20 years ago. I am very happy that the new one has improved a lot: easier to use, weighs less and costs less. The materials used for the older one seems sturdier. I hope this new one lasts as long. Thank you!

Don’t buy this product
We used it once and now it is not working. We didn’t save the receipt so we are out of luck.

It doesn't last
I've had this carpet cleaner for a few years now. It sounds like the motor totally burned up. It's extremely loud now, and won't do anything. No water comes out, no suction. It worked great for the first 2-3 years I had it. I tried cleaning it as best I could, but it still won't work. I would not buy Hoover again. I'm really disappointed, considering I loved it so much in the beginning, that my sister bought the same one.

Good Design but Manufacturing Flaws.
Some of the features on this machine work great. However, the clean water/solution tank has never worked properly. It always dispenses cleaning solution no matter whether it's switched to wash or rinse. This can be frustrating.

Poor quality for price
Product was only used a handful of times, but stopped working just after six months. Product won't even power on.

I would buy something different
I previously owned a similar Hoover model that the seals for H2O and solution broke down. I replaced it FH52000. Nice machine, uses little H2O but if really soiled you will have to wash ( go forward) slowly to saturate. I had no issues until I wanted to do corners. Hand tool ng. Now this model has a port. The tube connects to the nipple but leaves a rectangular port #34 to attach solution tube. Anyway there isn’t any other tube to fit that port in the box. It will be returned. Like all they all leak when you turn off, I keep it in a large garbage bag to transport through the house.
