A new set sent and the quality is way better

I found my first purchase of the gift set mug dirty. A new set was sent for replacement and they are way better in color and much more cleaner.

Hot insulation not as good as cold insulation

I bought these because I have been a fan of Hydro flask for a decade, but they really don’t seem much better than a regular coffee cup. Don’t really understand how they are so bad at keeping liquids warm.

Some design deficiencies make it a meh option

I think it's a fine mug because I like the shape and feel. However, as others have mentioned, it's supposedly not dishwasher safe, though I might run it through the dishwasher anyway and see what happens. My bigger gripe is that the lid doesn't really seal. When I walk around campus with the sip hole sealed, I still get hot coffee bouncing out of the ventilation hole and onto my hand. I am going to use this product but I would probably not purchase it again.
